Academic Year 2025-2026
A summary guide to our GCSE curriculum, support programmes, and educational approach.
What Makes Stewards Different
Because today's learners need more than information—they need formation.
At Stewards.ONE Online School, we develop students who don't just know things, but become people of purpose.
Our model is designed to build not only academic strength, but clarity, discipline, and direction. With coaching, capability training, and a faith-aligned worldview, students grow into young people who take ownership of their learning and responsibility for their lives.
This is education that shapes identity, nurtures self-governance, and prepares students to lead with conviction—in school and beyond.
At Stewards.ONE, we design learning intentionally. Our approach combines coaching, parental partnership, and integrated, hands-on learning to help students grow in knowledge, character, and capability.
Rather than isolating subjects from real life or values, we teach through a model that builds self-governance, focus, and moral clarity.
We advocate for tech consciousness and help our communities students develop the awareness and discipline to use technology with intention. Part of our ethos is helping students learn to use technology as a tool for good and growth—not as a gateway to distraction, addiction, or poor character. We view their time at Stewards.ONE Online School as a training ground for this, which is why we advocate responsible teaching and purposeful screen use.
We remain committed to promoting healthy device use and therefore offer an optional parental device control programme. This allows us to help students stay focused by monitoring their screens during school hours—supporting both parents and learners in building strong digital habits.
At Stewards.ONE, we see education as a partnership between school and home. Parents are not just supporters—they are co-architects of their child's development. While we guide students academically and morally during the day, it is the rhythms of home life that often determine whether those lessons truly take root.
As your child spends their day learning with us, we hope their evenings and weekends are shaped to support a balanced, capable, and God-conscious life—where learning, movement, service, and stillness are all honoured.
We group students according to their current understanding and skills. This means placing each student where they can genuinely succeed—strengthening foundations where needed and providing appropriate challenge for those ready to advance. Students who need extra support receive targeted help, developed together with parents, while those working ahead stay engaged and motivated.
Unlike tuition centres with limited lessons per week, we provide daily structured teaching across a full school timetable. Students receive consistent guidance, practice, and feedback throughout their regular lessons. We believe real education is the journey that shapes character alongside academic achievement. Our approach combines rigorous teaching with mentorship and practical support, helping students develop both understanding and self-discipline. When students engage with this structured learning, strong GCSE results follow naturally.
We provide the structure, study skills training, and accountability that students need to succeed. There's no expectation for young people to manage heavy self-study schedules alone. We keep families informed with clear, regular feedback so parents know exactly how their child is progressing. While we're invested in each student's success, we recognise that real progress requires collaboration—when families and students work with us, everyone thrives.
Partnering with Parents to Support Focused, Purposeful Teens
By the time students reach the GCSE stage, what they do outside of lessons becomes even more critical. Study habits, screen use, sleep routines, and meaningful personal interests all play a role in long-term success—both academically and personally.
The Evening Stewardship Framework (ESF) helps families create intentional routines that support GCSE students in managing their time wisely, deepening focus, and nurturing personal growth beyond academics.
At this stage, we encourage students to develop consistent hobbies, explore dedicated interests, and commit to healthy patterns of rest, revision, service, and stillness.
Reinforces focused and respectful tech habits during study hours
Helps students balance revision, rest, and meaningful pursuits
Creates space for shared reflection and accountability
Offers support on topics like focus, motivation, and teen development
Aligns with student capability goals and self-governance development
Motivates students to build skills, try new experiences, and give back
Together, we help teens shape a life of intention, identity, and self-leadership—one evening at a time.
Curriculum and Student Support
The Stewards.ONE GCSE Programme provides a rigorous and well-supported academic pathway for students preparing for their GCSE and IGCSE qualifications. As a full-time online school, we offer small, interactive classes taught by experienced subject specialists who understand the needs of our diverse, globally minded student body. Learning is structured, values-aligned, and intentionally designed to build consistency, confidence, and high performance.
At Stewards.ONE, we offer a range of GCSEs, IGCSEs, and nationally recognised qualifications, including the Arts Award. Our subjects follow specifications from AQA, Oxford AQA, and Pearson Edexcel. While we prepare students for one specific exam board per subject, we intentionally integrate content from multiple specifications where appropriate. This flexible approach enables students to transition between exam pathways when needed—such as during international moves or limited access to exam centres—without disrupting their academic progress.
Core subjects include:
We also offer a rotating selection of optional subjects such as Business, Geography, and Electronics, depending on student interest and demand.
All of our core subjects, with the exception of Islamic Art are taught over a two year time frame.
The Stewards GCSE Achievement Programme is a high-value, structured enrichment track designed to elevate every student's performance, discipline, and real-world readiness. It is open to all GCSE students and provides an essential layer of support, challenge, and stretch beyond the core timetable.
This after-school programme runs five afternoons per week, with each day focused on a different area of strategic development:
