My name is Rukayat Yakub and I teach year 6 Maths and English. Stewards.ONE is a much-needed institution where being a steward is central to the work of the school. Understanding that we are nurturing children to embrace, have gratitude for, and love their faith, their lives, and the work they must do with the gifts their Creator granted them is central to the ethos of Stewards. In English class we study grammar, tools of rhetoric, and writing but we also ask important moral questions and learn from history as well as contemporary stories set across the globe. In Math, we focus on core skills, study habits, and nurturing each child's intellect, while also emphasizing community-building so that each student will, in shaa Allah, be a lifelong learner who does not see others as competition, but rather as collaborators in work, in goodness, in understanding the world around us, and, in shaa Allah, in service.

Alhamdulillah we have had a wonderful experience with Stewards.One in our first year. My year 6 son who hated English is doing Year 7 English and it’s now his favourite subject! My Year 8 struggled with Arabic as he was introduced to it for the first time, the support that Stewards.One has provided to get him where he is has been exceptional and I’m truly grateful. All of the staff are well qualified and very supportive, without a doubt I think we would have struggled with secondary level home education without Stewards.

My name is Asma Patel. I am the KS3/4 English teacher here at Stewards.ONE. I thoroughly enjoy teaching at Stewards. I feel like I am able to really get to know my pupils as individuals and offer a more personalised learning experience as class sizes are much smaller to mainstream school. Our pupils’ behaviour is exemplary so not a minute of learning time is wasted.

Joining Stewards has been a huge blessing for my kids and I. From the very beginning till now , they work on getting to know each childs individual needs and cater to their success based on that. I have seen my children flourish in their Maths and English after having some gaps in their knowledge. Stewards have made them feel comfortable and given them space and assistance to grow at their own pace. I highly recommend.

My daughter grew academically through the school year. She became a confident writer. The teacher and the principal are so caring and tend to the parents and student’s needs. I definitely encourage any parent looking for both Deen and Dunya for their child to enroll them in Stewards.
