    Description

The Stewards.ONE English GCSE programme prepares students for both AQA English Language (8700) and English Literature (8702) qualifications. This rigorous and enriching course develops high-level skills in reading comprehension, literary analysis, creative and transactional writing, and spoken communication.

Students study a range of carefully selected texts—Shakespearean drama, 19th-century fiction, modern plays, and poetry—while strengthening their ability to write with fluency, clarity, and purpose. Throughout the course, learners build confidence in crafting arguments, interpreting meaning, and expressing ideas in both oral and written form. The course also includes mock exams, peer presentations, and targeted exam coaching in line with AQA’s assessment objectives.

As with all Stewards.ONE programmes, this course is supported by AWAKEN, our capability-building and coaching programme, and CORE, our character development system. Students graduate from this course prepared not just for exams, but for academic and real-world communication success.
