What this course develops

Seerah Level 1 builds the foundation for knowing the Prophet ﷺ before the public mission. Students learn that he was not made trustworthy by fame, leadership or outward power. He was already known as truthful, trustworthy, pure-hearted, protected by Allah and prepared for a task whose greatness would only later be revealed.

Learning focus
The House of Allah, Quraysh, the Year of the Elephant, childhood, guardianship, trade, truthfulness, trustworthiness, marriage to Khadījah رضي الله عنها and the rebuilding of the Ka‘bah.
How students grow
Students begin to understand that great responsibility is prepared through truthfulness, purity, reliability, patience and inward nearness to Allah.
Parent outcome
Parents should expect a warm, structured Seerah foundation that strengthens adab, Islamic identity, love of the Prophet ﷺ and respect for truthful character.

Curriculum Theme: The Truthful One & Friend of God

The first theme, Al-Amīn & Walī, helps students understand who the Prophet ﷺ was before revelation. He was truthful when truthfulness was costly. He was trustworthy before authority was given to him. He was protected, purified and prepared by Allah before the public call began.

Al-Amīn
Students study the Prophet ﷺ as the truthful and trustworthy one, recognised by his people for honesty, reliability and noble conduct.
Walī
Students reflect on the Prophet ﷺ as one beloved and protected by Allah, prepared inwardly for a mission beyond ordinary human ambition.
Preparation before mission
Students learn that Allah prepares people for responsibility through character, hardship, discipline, service and sincerity.

Core Learning Journey

Students follow the early Seerah in a clear sequence so that the life of the Prophet ﷺ becomes meaningful, memorable and connected. They are not only asked what happened, but what each event reveals about character, protection, preparation and divine wisdom.

Origins and sacred history
The House of Allah, the line of Quraysh, the Year of the Elephant and the sacred setting into which the Prophet ﷺ was born.
Childhood and formation
Time in the desert, the passing of his mother, the care of his grandfather and uncle, shepherding, trade and early signs of noble character.
Trust before prophethood
The journey to Syria, the meeting with Bahīrā, marriage to Khadījah رضي الله عنها, the rebuilding of the Ka‘bah and the title Al-Amīn.

How students learn

Lessons combine teacher-led narration, guided reading, timeline work, vocabulary, discussion, reflection questions and short written responses. Students are encouraged to listen carefully, remember key events and connect the early Seerah to their own conduct.

Guided Seerah study
Students learn key people, places and events in order, with clear teacher explanation and supported note-taking.
Character reflection
Students explore truthfulness, trust, patience, gratitude, service and the way Allah prepares people for responsibility.
Personal application
Students reflect on what it means to be trusted, truthful and prepared for good work before anyone gives them a public role.

What students should be able to do by the end

By the end of Seerah Level 1, students should have a clear foundation in the early life of the Prophet ﷺ and a meaningful understanding of Al-Amīn & Walī as the first curriculum theme.

Recall key early events
Students can describe the major early events of the Seerah and explain why they matter.
Explain prophetic character
Students can explain why truthfulness, trustworthiness and purity of heart are central to understanding the Prophet ﷺ.
