Sewing for Beginners
Sewing for Beginners is a calm, practical summer course designed to introduce students to a useful hands-on skill in a structured and supportive way. Students learn the foundations of hand sewing, safe tool use, simple stitches, fabric handling and beginner-friendly project work.

What this course develops
This course develops practical confidence, patience, fine motor control, attention to detail and pride in making something by hand. Students are guided step by step so they can build confidence with basic sewing techniques while learning to work carefully, follow instructions and complete small practical tasks with care.
Targeted practice in safe tool use, threading, basic hand stitches, fabric handling, simple repairs, neat finishing and beginner project work.
Students become more patient, more careful and more confident with practical tasks. They learn how to follow steps, correct mistakes and take pride in completing a small handmade piece.
Parents should expect a gentle beginner course that builds creativity, practical independence, focus, care and appreciation for useful hand skills.
Summer School 2026
Dates: 25 July 2026 to 22 August 2026.
Fees: £250 for the full Summer School programme or £50 for an individual subject. Existing Stewards.ONE students receive 50% off. Parents should contact Stewards.ONE Admin to collect their discount code before purchasing.
