Description
IT Architecture & Coding
IT Architecture & Coding is a practical summer course designed to help students understand how digital systems are planned, structured and built. Students move beyond simply using technology and begin to think like builders: breaking problems into steps, designing simple systems, writing code, testing ideas and improving their work.

What this course develops
This course develops computational thinking, coding confidence, design discipline and a basic understanding of how technology solutions are put together. Students practise how to plan before building, think logically, understand simple digital architecture and improve their work through testing and feedback.
Targeted practice in digital systems, architecture basics, coding logic, algorithms, design thinking, debugging, problem-solving and simple build tasks.
Students become more confident in approaching technical problems. They learn to think in steps, organise ideas clearly, test their work and explain how a digital solution works.
Parents should expect a practical technology course that strengthens digital confidence and gives students a clearer foundation for coding, Computer Science and future technology pathways.
Why IT Architecture & Coding matters
Technology now shapes how people learn, work, communicate and solve problems. But using apps and devices is not the same as understanding how digital systems are designed. This course helps students begin to see the structure behind technology, giving them the confidence to build, test and improve rather than remain passive users.
Students learn how digital solutions are planned before they are built, including how to break problems into smaller parts and organise ideas clearly.
Students practise the logic behind coding, including sequences, conditions, patterns, debugging and simple implementation tasks.
Students begin to connect technology with real problems, design choices and purposeful digital creation.
